My name is Amanda, Mandi to my friends (we’re friends now). I’m a 21 year old girl navigating my ever-changing life and hoping to resonate with other human beings.

I started this blog as somewhat of a class project. I am currently a senior in college getting my BFA, majoring in Graphic Design. I’ve opted to take an independent study course this semester in an attempt to broaden my horizons and test my creative limits (so far, it’s working!) My goal for this course is to learn to build a functional, interactive, and hopefully beautifully designed site that will also function as somewhat of a diary… a very, very, public diary.
As I sat and contemplated what I wanted to do for this course I couldn’t help but wonder… what ever happened to blogs?? It feels like there has been a major decline in the blogosphere as people have opted to vlog or share their lives via social media. Don’t get me wrong, I think both of those things are super cool and a great way to connect, but I don’t think anything tops the feeling of writing out your feelings and processing your thoughts.
As a self-proclaimed romcom enthusiast, I spent my adolescence hoping to pick a main character worthy profession. Think Jenna Rink in 13 Going on 30, or Andy Anderson in How to Lose a Guy in 10 days… or even miss Carrie Bradshaw. What do these leading ladies all have in common you ask? They were all writers!!! So, although I’ve opted for a career path in Graphic Design, I’m here to combine all my passions to initiate a blog renaissance if you will. Whether five people are reading, or 500, I’d love to have you along for the ride ◡̈
